ARTober

We had a FANTASTIC ARTober festival even better than last year thank you to all our visitors and artists!

The Fat Chat Show dropped in to the Low Wood Bay Hotel on the banks of Windermere to see an up and coming art festival. With over 30 artists from across the country the Sine Dubio Art Festival is promising to become one of the most important art festivals of its kind in Cumbria. Free art workshops in printmaking, iPad art, photography, sculpting, painting and children's illustration there was something for everyone. Director Sophia Newton is showing us around the festival, introducing us to the artists and their work.

Sine Dubio are overjoyed to announce their second Art Festival. Following the success of the last event the exhibition has been extended from two days to seven and moved to the October half term. We are proud to be holding the event in the same prestigious venue at Low Wood on the shores of Lake Windermere and this autumns Festival promises to be more explosive than the first.

Whittington Point to Point

A top day out for all involved me thinks. Claire Bentley-Smith's work was very well received at the Whittington Point to Point this Easter weekend. It was a great event with plenty of racing, champagne, betting and of course top quality art!

Sine Dubio Festival of Art

Our first Art Festival held on 16th - 17th February 2013 is now under our belt and was a roaring sucess. Hundreds of people through the door enjoying artwork, meeting artists and even creating their own artwork.

Feedback on the event was extraordinary, people loved the interactive elements such as the printmaking and life drawing classes and listening to Art Professionals talking about their favourite topic in a relevant and digestible way.

The standard of art on display was excellent, local people were refreshed to see a mix of more contemporary art alongside more traditional pieces, and our Sine Dubio ethos of breaking down the barriers surrounding the art world and allowing people to engage with art and artists came through strongly. And it wasn't just us who thought so. This article by Ellis Butcher of the Westmorland Gazette proved that we hit the right notes!
